First Post, Friday Night May 16th
Ok, so here we go!
This is a grand experiment to see just how fast I can get a site ranking, profitable and with loads of traffic. I’ve been challenged to make a high traffic profitable site within days. I’ll keep you updated on all the results I get and fill you in on anything I find a success or a failure (so you don’t repeat my mistakes).
I’m going to heavily rely upon Social Networking, Blogs and Social Bookmarking websites. These along with some really neat automated scripts, software and tools. Keep in mind this is going to be pretty much normal SEO work and I’m not going to dive into my blackhat bag of tricks to get this accomplished. I’ll be using some automated social bookmarking software tools, but not in a way that generates spam. You’ll have to subscribe to see it all in action and find out what I’m talking about.
I’ll update you with videos and posts to this blog. Be sure you subscribe by filling in your name and email on the top right of this page. You’ll be notified of any updates and it will unlock the door to some behind the scenes content.
When it’s all over I’ll also share with you all the techniques I used and any software or tools that helped me along with way.
It’s Friday night at around 11:15 PM and I’ve got 2 season ending baseball team parties to take my boys to tomorrow. So I’m not sure if I’ll get much work done this weekend or not. If I don’t work on the site I’ll start the official “countdown” on Monday the 19th.
I’m really crossing my fingers and toes on this one. I’m pretty confident I can pull it off (I’ve done it many times before) but this is out in the public for everyone to see if I don’t.

I personally believe the internet is still a place where overnight creations can be carried out, and I’m personally one to dream big like that.

I checked out your site and like what you’re offering over there. I’ll be testing conversion rates using video spokesmodels like you offer in the near future. Have you done any controlled split testing using your models to see how they impact opt-in or sales rates?

I have been always fascinated towards online business and I believe that we can make a grand living out of it. Currently I have my content writing services website, and basically I m making money by providing services to webmasters looking for content. However, what I feel after 8 months is that services business is shit…its better to build ur own websites and be your own boss.
I m looking forward to lay down my initial step into money making from websites with ur training as it progresses.

I’m glad your here. The service business can be an ok business to be in, but you need to make sure you have a high enough profit margin and very automated systems.
One of the businesses I’m in is a service oriented business. It took a while to get it running smoothly, but I can now safely let that business run while I work on other things.
Either way, I’m sure you’ll learn from this experiment of mine.

Thanks for the comment over here too! This exchange between our blogs is a great example of why I really like the social aspect of online social media. So few webmasters are using it to it’s full potential. Social networking can really make a HUGE difference in launching any new website and will have long term benefits for your traffic too.

Hmm, I’m a bit of a skeptic in terms of the “fair tactics” being used to drum up attention here. Look at all of the people here who also saw you holding that fat check on YouTube. Of course they’re going to return here to find out how you did it. As easy as you make this all sound, it’s your celebrity status, and your secret strategies are going to be the biggest draw.
Will you be sharing strategies that regular joes can use to also create phenomenal results?
I just started this website and would love how to turn it into a google adsense money making machine!

Actually, I started my own website a month ago and am focusing on a similar goal. After our daughter was taken for over $6000 online in a spurious business offer, I decided to do a little internet research on my own.
I finally found a web host/creation site and ventured into cyberspace in April. All this is new to me and I’m trying to balance news (about my service line) and general information geared toward those wanting to start an internet business.
Too, I’m hoping to attract those whose e-commerce attempt has failed. It’s possible they’ll find their situation among my pages and learn how to save their existing business or, perhaps, they’ll discover why they should leave web businesses to others.
In any case, I am looking forward to sending visitors here to watch your progress!

Having done SEO for many years it will be a worthwhile experiment for your readers as social medai marketing is very different to SEO in some ways.
Social media requires a more personal approach and a ‘getting among it’ attitude. It’s all about discussion and very much branding.

Hi, Bill, I think this is an interesting experiment! I started up a website not long ago. I have not began to promote it yet because I have a few finishing touches, but it will primarily be doing live video broadcasting that will work like talk radio. I also design html comments for friend social networking websites on the same website. Can your method work in a site like this? If you have time to visit the site, it may be clearer as to what I’m doing with it.

I am interested in your experiment but how would you market a website that has yet to be released? Can you market a website that has not been launched yet, or must you wait until it is complete?
